Video: Hugo Rodellaga's superb strike

An early candidate for goal of the season as Colombian striker Hugo Rodellaga's perfectly dipping shot flies over Brad Friedel sending Wigan one up. Jason Koumas makes it two. Villa fall to Wigan at home and the fans are none too happy. I have a feeling the name Hugo Rodellaga will be on the lips of many soon.

Yes and relying on Petrov in the centre of the field is a mistake in my opinion. He's just not up to it and I really consider Reo-Coker the better midfielder.

As a Villa fan, I'm trully shocked by the result. I realise heading into the game I wasn't happy with O'Neill's replacements for some vital players we lost and now I'm even more disappointed. That result was unforgiveable and if this is the shape of things to come, Villa are in serious trouble this season.

The sheer fact alone that we only have two first-team central defenders in the squad is an absolute disgrace.
