World Cup 2010: Portugal's inept finishing costs them

A barrage of goal scoring chances undone by inept finishing left Portugal with an uphill task of making the World Cup. A Liedson goal kept their slim chances alive. For the money, Nicklas Bendtner shows why Adebayor was so expendable. Great trap and shoot.

Stephen Anderson came up with some timely saves till the Liedson goal. Portugal now lie in fourth place, 7 points behind group leaders Denmark. They have two matches against the surprising Magyars in second place and their last match is with bottom dwellers Malta.
