Maurice Edu racially abused by club supporters

Maurice Edu1.jpg
Just so bigoted.
Maurice Edu who played so well in his first season with the Gers was the target of racial abuse by his own club supporters as he exited the stadium after the match against Unirea Urziceni.
Edu did not even play as Rangers imploded under a barrage of own goals in a 4-1 loss to Unirea in a CL group stage match. He has been sidelined with a knee injury and has not played this season.
Rangers Supporter Trust spokesman David Edgar issued a statement: “We would absolutely condemn that if that’s the case. These are not Rangers fans and they should be caught and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
C’mon people, grow up.

  2. My cousin in Glasgow wanted to take me to something exciting on a visit. We went to a pub to watch the Rangers play against the Celtic. The pub only had Rangers fans as my cousin is one as well.
I could not believe the fans who were up front screaming like monkeys when one of their own walked out onto the field. My cousin was embarrassed and we left early

  3. Exactly. It makes players wary of joining a club with fans that treats their players like that. Its not just wrong, its stupid too.

  4. I am hurt to read that “Maurice Edu who played so well in his first season with the Gers was the target of racial abuse by his own club supporters”. It is bad for sports. I have been watched many matched of Maurice Edu on live sports.
