Two goals by Gonzalo "El Pipita " Higuain had Manuel Pellegrini pumping his hands Wenger style. It was a must win for the Merengues over Getafe as the knives were out for Pelligrini.
After the match, Pelligrini said that the club had "recovered its spirit." He praised Higuain " What he did today did not surprise me. He is a fundamentally sound player and will have a very important role this year. "
