World Cup 2010: Special courts to deal with crime

| Comments | TrackBacks

South Africa is introducing special courts that will mete out instant justice for crimes perpetrated during the World Cup.

The murder rates have climbed down steadily from 50 per 100,000 inhabitants in 2000 to about 37 per 100,000 in 2008. SA has also improved its 2nd position in the violent crimes list to 9th position. But it is still too high.

Seems like the South Africans would like to keep the courts even after the World Cup.
