Rafa: Arsenal game begins "a new season"

Wenger might have to contend with the return of Fernando Torres and the possible first full introduction of Alberto Aquilani, in Arsenal's fixture against 'Pool this weekend.

Rafa's description of " a new season" for the Arsenal match is probably to get players disconcerted by their CL campaign ending on a sour note, to focus on the important task of challenging for the Premiership's top four spots. The return of Torres and Aquilani's increased visibility too can be taken as something novel.

By all accounts this will be Liverpool's second new season following the Man Utd win which seems quite distant right now. They were supposed to have built on that victory but the very opposite happened. Instead we get a "tabula rasa" almost mid season.
