Wenger hedges his bets on Fabregas playing

The percentage of Fabregas not playing was at 60% yesterday afternoon. He missed practice to continue to receive treatment. I do hope that percentage has dropped considerably as Arsene seems to be leaving it very late to make his decision. Till prematch warm up it appears.

It seems an all or none deal. That is either he will start or he won't even play at all.

"We have 19 players in the squad: That means I have considered the possibility of ruling him out completely."

This would be true except Fabregas is not just a player. He is the player. So I am with the hundreds of thousands of Gunner fans who are willing him on to full fitness before the match.

My take on the match is that there is no dishonour losing to a team like Barca and that thought should help in playing our natural brand of attacking and free flowing football. That and not allowing the ball to get within sniffing distance of Messi. It involves throwing juicy rib eye steaks at appropriate intervals. Or maybe the Pied Piper would like to lead all the footballs down a drain.
