Faouzi Chaouchi, the Algerian goalkeeper was woeful.

Check out the first goal where Chaouchi was late coming out to challenge Philip Green who bravely headed the ball down for Ireland's first goal and got kicked in the act. He had to leave to the pitch to receive medical attention.

The second goal was even more of a blunder as Chaouchi weakly punches Damien Duff's cross straight to Robbie Keane who makes no mistake curling the ball over the stranded goalkeeper.

Ireland added a third when Djamel Mesbah brought down Keane in the 83rd minute, which looked like a clean tackle missed by the referee. The upshot of it was Keane converting the resulting spot kick.

Rabah Saadane rested some of his stars like Majid Bougherra, Hassan Yebda, Antar Yahia and Karim Matmour because of injury concerns.

On display was highly rated Adlene Guediora recently signed on by Wolverhampton on a three year contract after impressing Mick McCarthy in his role holding midfielder. Ryad Boudebouz, Mbolhi Rais Wahab, Habib Bellaid, Djamel Mesbah, and Kadir Fouad also earned their debuts.

Chaouchi's goalkeeping and the defensive effort of the back four will be of grave concern to Saadane if Algeria wants to stop the likes of Wayne Rooney, Jozy Altidore, and Milivoje Novakovič. He maybe better off starting the more experienced Lounès Gaouaoui in goal.

Franco Baldini, one of the assistants to Fabio Capello was there to witness the match and must have seen enough for England to fancy their chances.

what concerns are you talking about in this artile ? did u not know it was only the reserve team that played against ireland? did u not know that 3 players (deffenders)played together for the first time ? Trapattoni is very experienced and he knows what he is talking about ...when he says you will see a very different team in the world cup. When all the injured players come back it will be a different storry england better watch out and stop claiming victory against algeria because in football u never know who will end winning the game.
