Barca overcame Atletico's hoodoo at the Vicente Calderon by beating them, 2-1 as Gerard Pique scored a late match winner. Leo Messi put the visitors ahead but Atletico came back through Raul Garcia against the run of play through a header. Barca thus ended a three match losing streak. The match ended on a note of concern as Leo Messi injured his right ankle following a Tomas Ujfalusi tackle.

Preliminary tests reveal a medial ankle ligament sprain which will keep him out for a couple of weeks although more tests and radiological investigations are scheduled next week to assess the exact extent of the injury.

Good victory for Barca although the injury to Messi will worry them. He is just better than everyone else out there and you can see that when he has the ball at his feet.

Check out Footy! on Facebook it is a great football game.
