Champions League: Inter survive against FC Twente

Defending champions Inter had a tough outing against Dutch champions FC Twente as they had to come from behind to dig out a draw. It all began well for the Italian club with Wesley Sneijder showing his omnipotence finishing off a Diego Milito rebound with aplomb. But Walter Samuel brought down Luuk De Jong for a free kick just outside the box.

Inter's wall looked none too solid with gaps in between and Theo Janssen was able to blast a curling ball through and past the leaping Julio Cesar. Matters became worse after a corner saw Diego Milito guiding the ball into his own goal. Inter restored parity just before halftime as Samuel Eto'o managed to sneak in a shot. The ball skidding on the surface slick from the torrential rain proved too fast for the diving Sander Boschker.
