A move that began with Fabregas saw Samir Nasri scoring first for Arsenal from a very tight angle. Marouane Chamakh scored the second off an Arshavin cross and the game seemed to be in the bag. However Spurs came back in the second half and put a spanner in the works.Goals from Gareth Bale, Rafael van der Vaart (penalty) and then the winner from Younes Kaboul five minutes from time.Chelsea's loss to Birmingham meant that Arsenal missed the chance to go to the top of the table.
