Edinson Cavani shows why he'll be a hot summer target

Edinson Cavani will not be in Napoli much longer. He scored a hat trick in one of the Serie's most thrilling matches which had everything. The Uruguayan playing in the shadows of his more illustrious peers Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez recorded his 23, 24, and 25th goal. His last goal capped a spectacular comeback for the Partenopei..

Lazio charged ahead two goals to the good through Stefano Mauri and Andre Dias. Things were looking bleak for the home team before Ezquiel Lavazzi orchestrated two goals within a minute of each other and brought the two teams back on level terms. Andrea Dossena got onto the end of a botched clearance off Lavezzi's free kick to head home at the far post. The Argentine was on target moments later when his soaring free kick was headed across the face of the goal and Cavani was at hand to redirect the ball.

Mauro Zarate's craftiness restored Lazio's lead as Salvatore Aronica was forced to concede an own goal. The see saw battle went the other way as Guiseppe Biava at odds with Cavani's strength and speed brought the Uruguayan down giving up a penalty and in the process also earned a red card. Cavani cool as a cucumber against fellow Uruguayan Fernando Muslera duly converted. With 10 minutes left, he once again had Muslera's number as he chests down a ball and flicks the ball over the stranded goalie who despite getting a desperate hand onto it is unable to prevent it from lodging into goal.

Cavani now shares top goalscoring honours with veteran Antonio Di Natale. He just turned 24 and with his age and sharpshooting ability, the Matador will be one of this summer's hottest transfer targets.
