Jack Wilshere his fighting spirit on the pitch.

Good on ye, Jack. The one Arsenal player who's shown consistent bottle. Gareth Bale wins the player of the year for his Usain Bolt like surges down the left. The fourth Welshman to do so. Hopefully Aaron Ramsey will follow and become the fifth in an Arsenal shirt.

Samir Nasri, Bacary Sagna, and Wilshere were also included in the PFA's squad of the year.

Missing in all this Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez. My vote for young player of the year, if not POY. 18 goals in 37 appearances in his first year. Most of them phenomenal, most of them big.

Bale deserves this award as he is a phenomenal player. Besides, he is expected to improve in the years to come.
Hernandez had showed consistency and proved his talent as a five-star striker.

As we Americans say, he comes through in the clutch. He'll have a long memorable career, no doubt.
