In the battle for a Europa spot, Spurs came out on top. Rafael Van Der Vaart snaps out of his somnolence ever so often to score some spectacular goals. This was one of them. Luka Modric scored off the spot after Steven Pienaar was brought down by Flanagan in a touchy feely way. Liverpool looked flat after going full throttle against Fulham, Newcastle, and Birmingham.

This was Spurs first win at Anfield in eighteen years and they're now a point ahead in the race for fifth. It was a mixed bag for London clubs as Newcastle drew Chelsea. Which should do it for Carlo Ancelotti. West Ham were relegated. Arsenal lost to Villa in a downward spiral. Fulham pushed Birmingham into relegation mire.
