Carlos Tevez’s transfer to Corinthians has run into some headwinds.
The president of the Timao, Andres Sanchez insists there is no agreement as City have changed the terms and the board needs to consider the counter proposal. He alleges the Premier League club have changed the total value of the transaction and the schedule of payments. In addition, they are insisting that Tevez pay up a surrender amount. City insists that there is only a minor detail in the first installment of payments that needs to be changed and it does not relate to the total transfer amount estimated at €44m (€40m plus €4m in add-ons).
The Brazilian transfer window closes tomorrow.
A majority of City fans want Tevez gone and have turned their attention to Kun Aguero whose English speaking skills are an improvement amongst his more obvious footballing ones. Aguero is being sought out by Juventus, Real Madrid, and rivals Chelsea but City are confident that they can land him. His agent Hernan Reguera has made it clear that the striker future will be resolved by next week.
