Women's World Cup: USA in gritty comeback tale...

The US women's team would have felt pretty hard done by if they had lost this game. Both goals scored against them were controversial. The first came off a penalty that was retaken for reasons best known to the referee alone. The second was came from a pass from a player who was offside.

Abby Wambach equalised in the 122nd minute and Hope Solo lived up to her name and reputation by proving to be the better goalkeeper at the penalty shootout.
A much better write on the proceedings up from Shourin is sure to follow. You will have to make do with this till then....!
