Copa America 2015: Chile and Mexico battle to a thrilling 3-3 draw

About the most complete match so far in the Copa. It had everything. Magnificent free flowing, attacking, end to end football. Equally brilliant defending. Some fine goalkeeping saves. A gripping and pulsating storyline with Chile twice going down and then coming back before Mexico themselves pulled a rabbit out of the hat. Two Chilean goals ruled out after being controversially called offside. And Matias Vuoso, 33 years of age, a naturalized Argentinian striker, in and out of the national squad since 2008, becoming a Mexican hero for his two goal strike including the equalizer. This was Mexico’s B side as most of the starters including Chicharito Hernandez, Carlos Vela, Giovani Dos Santos are being kept in check for the Gold Cup starting next month.

Chile are on top of Group A with Bolivia behind on goal difference. However this draw also leaves Mexico in a favourable position for the knockout and a win over Ecuador will see them through.
