Young Sergi Oriol from Barcelona’s La Masia training academy shows off some brilliant skill in an under 12 game against Sant Cugat.
Víctor Valdés, Montoya, Carles Puyol, Gerard Piqué, Jordi Alba, Xavi, Sergio Busquets, Iniesta, Messi, Pedro and Fàbregas are all La Masia products.
There were questions whether La Masia – after producing so many legends – was now on the road to decline.
Not if Sergi Oriol is an example of what their trainees can do.
