Rafa Benitez received a warm and noisy reception at Anfield where he remains a hero to Liverpool fans for conjuring the 2005 ‘Miracle of Istanbul’.
And he proceeded to dampen their enthusiasm a bit by inspiring Newcastle to come back from two goals down to draw the game against Liverpool and keep relegation at bay for some more time.
Newcastle were two goals down at half time and the writing seemed to be written on the wall.
So that must have been some half time talk that Benitez gave to his team to get them to come back like that.
