
(Sir) Geoff Hurst – the only England player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final, achieving this feat in the 1966 tournament against West Germany at Wembley. His three goals, including the famous and controversial (russian linesman assisted) third, secured a 4-2 win, made him the only man to score a treble in a World Cup final and lift the trophy so far.
