Going back a bit and making some (odious) comparisions
World Cup 2010 – Waka Waka (This time for Africa) was catchy,joyful,rhythmic,african and could be danced to.
World Cup 2014 – We are One ( Ole Ola) It had a high-energy, stadium-ready chorus,a Latin/Brazilian flavor for Brazil and was good for big crowds chanting together
World Cup 2018 – One Life – Live it up Plenty of energy,good for dancing and chanting and it had Will Smith and Messi in it .
World Cup 2022 –Hayya Hayya ( Better Together) My favourite tune of them all. Again the message was that of football bringing nations together and that we were better together than apart.
Which brings us at length to this dumb dismal dud. The most mournful FIFA song ever. Absolutely ghastly.
And Coke have come up with this bit of weirdness to go with it.
