  1. 1) The game is over
    2) We won’t likely face the Czech’s again
    3) We’ll probably see a new lineup come Saturday as most US players won’t be fit to play after sustaining life threatening injuries when Arena threw them under the bus in post-match interviews.
    4) Reyna is more intelligent than I thought, as he so accurately demonstrated when he said that the “game changed after the first goal.”
    5) Hey, we’ve scored as many goals as Brazil has!! Oh wait, they haven’t played yet.

  2. From coach to team to water boy – send them all home. Today, they became an embarassment to our nation. It was not the score, not the opponent, not the site, but our own miserable performance. And Bruce, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

  3. a little early for the death nell, we may yet tie Ghana!
1 and 2. Johnson and Conrad played well. Johnson showed spunk and drive, he was hindered by rarely getting the ball from our non-existant midfield playmaker (Reyna, I’m talking about you).
Conrad showed he’s not afraid to attack head on, just not good enough to get around the defender.
    3. Gooch got his first game under his belt. I think he played well considering this. While he should have been man marking Koller, it looked like Arena didn’t tell him to play that game in the first half, and it showed.
    4. We now know not to take Beasley out of his element. He played well for being on the wrong side of the field, so hopefully on the correct side he’ll play like he means it.
    5. Reyna showed he no longer belongs on the team. Again. I put this here because maybe this will be the game Bruce realizes this. I don’t think it will be though.
    Ugh, only 5…
We have 5 days until we play Italy. We can rise above this, yea, we got by one of the top 4 teams in the tournament, yea, they didn’t look like they were trying much, but we’ve played better than this. We’ve played with more energy, we can do better, we *can* beat Italy if we play as hard and as smart as we can.
We also have a few bench players that may play against Italy and front us with a new faced team. Dempsey and Wolff come to mind. Perhaps putting Donovan and O’Brian in the midfield will yield better results.
