Great game and a great goal by Maxi Rodriguez as he chested a pass from Sorin outside the penalty box and then volleyed it past Sanchez in goal with his left leg. . Tevez and Messi were a bit too much to handle for the Mexican defence which began to look a bit ragged and resorted to fouling Messi and Tevez.
Argentina did not look that sharp this game and had to go again to Tevez and Messi to pull them out. Crespo looked winded and Saviola continues to show inconsistent form.
Mexico can be proud of the way it played. They have a good team and Xinha has been the pick. Young 19 year old Guardado could be Mexico’s future.

Argentina was lucky to get such an amazing goal from Maxi R. But, I am not so confident on this team anymore. Mexico really played well and took charge in the midfield for most of the time. ARG’s famed midfield was shaky. The individual efforts of Messy and Tevez brought some momentum back for them. Pekerman will have tough time choosing the right combination. They need one strong and physical striker against Germany, Crespo should be there, but they also need some individual brilliance in the penetrative zone, and so Messy should be picked. Tevez could be a sub for Saviola. If they can win against Germany, we can look for a final between Argentina and Brazil.
I can’t imagine there’s going to be a better goal in the tournament than Rodriguez’s.
