Gunners charge for Florent Malouda

Lyon left winger, Florent Malouda could become the second signing of the season for Arsenal. It appears Liverpool’s bid has been rejected and Malouda has been approached by Arsenal and a rival bid offered. Chelsea’s Didier Drogba would also love to see him in a Blues uniform.
Malouda is the type of player that Arsenal needs. Good speed, excellent in the air, physically strong, and scores goals at a regular clip. 10 goals in 27 matches for Lyon and the PFA in the French Ligue this season. Malouda was one of France’s World Cup stars.
With Arsenal ending their bid for Ryan Babel and Franck Ribery moving to Bayern, the shortlist of available players grew shorter.
Meanwhile, the never ending saga of Thierry Henry leaving Arsenal is being fueled by an interview where he says he was devastated by the departure of David Dein. Henry is being courted by Barcelona and now Milan. The players who want Henry as a team mate is now a veritable chorus. Samuel Eto’o, Patrick Vieira, Ludovic Giuly, and now Robert Pires. That’s some august company compared to the likes of Aleksandr Hleb and Gael Clichy. I can see Henry drooling with this courtship talk and his being unsettled by David Dein’s departure is just meretricious piffle. Dein is a backstabber and a con artist who wanted someone else’s money to take control of Arsenal. Henry knows this and it is time for him to stop using Dein as a pretext and leave Arsenal if he really wants to play with the biggest names.
My two bits. Henry stays and this is all an ego boosting exercise.

  1. I couldn’t agree more!
But I do wonder why there are so many former ‘Gooners’ are pro-TH14 leaving?! These players were respected by the fans and paid well by the club.
Titi has, as we all know a contract. With everything he has said i the papers should be remembered. He will stay as long as Wenger stays.Wenger is on the verge of seeing the third generation EXPLODE!!I don’t think either of them are going anywhere!!

  2. “Chelsea’s Didier Drogba would also love to see him in a Blues uniform. ” I think the fact you call it a uniform goes to show that you dont know jack-shit about football. Why do people without a clue continue to write blogs? and shame on newsnow for using them as sources..

    I REALY LOVE HENRY
IF HE LEAV ARSENAL I DONT WANT TO TALK ABOUT ARSENAL

  5. Whether TH14 stays or goes is immaterial to me. If you offered me £30-40m for him I would take it. We did sell PV4 on the cheap so I would be concerned if TH14 is sold for anything less than £20m.
It is Arsene’s future I’m more concerned about. If Arsene stays to see his side develop to its full potential (with “super signings”), then the sky’s the limit. If he decides to call it a day then we are in for a few more turbulent years at least.
We need a left winger and a striker probably. I would go Gilles Barnes at Derby County. It also looks like Adriano at Inter could be surplus to requirements too!

  6. thiery henry should not move to barcelona bacause the team are too many for player in age of 16 ;17;and 18 respectively and lack of expiriance.and again the maneger should move for maoluda and babel after missing ribery for bayar munichen.

  7. I am the sole supporter of the Gunners. My comment about the future of Henry is staying at Gunners is a double glory for him ,one keeping alive his x-honor&the other the up-coming result that he ,as aheadmaster,is going to taste with the newly built team .Henery is a school for the youngesers. His “stay is a must” as one of his team recommended.
