The French attacking midfielder who came on in the second half and the Dutch winger in Van Gaal’s 4-3-3 formation combined impeccably to rip the Wolfsburg defense with precision passing and clinical finishes.
Robben showed no signs of slowing down. At age 25, he is shrugging off a ball hog mentality. His truly great days lie ahead if he can remain healthy.
