Mourinho: “Inter demands respect”

Rosella Sensi, AS Roma owner gets an earful from Jose
Napoleon Bonaparte is obviously someone that Mourinho has read about or been influenced by because he knows the day the Admiral died. Why does that not surprise?
May 5th is also the day that Inter lost the Scudetto eight years ago to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. May 5th is the also the day Inter meets AS Roma in the Coppa Italia final. The venue:
The Stadio Olimpico. An omen? Mourinho shrugs it off. The date is important because Napoleon died, not for any other reason. He was not born an Inter fan so he thinks little of it.
But the backdrop to the final is the war of words between the Special One and the AS Roma owner, Rosella Sensi.
Sensi over the weekend earned the Special One’s ire by complaining that Inter should have felt shame at the way they won against Lazio.
Their bitter city rivals had capitulated abjectly in a defeat to Inter with their fans cheering on the visitors- more concerned about stopping Roma from winning the title than their club’s own fate.
Mourinho blasted the owner, “Only thieves should be ashamed and we’ve got to this point playing two finals (also the Champions League) and for the title not because we were born in a golden cradle but thanks to our hard work.”
“We don’t deserve respect, we demand it. That lady (Sensi) can be a president, a doctor or born in a golden cradle but she has to respect us.”
Another reason why Mourinho is irate is that the Coppa Italia final is being played at Roma’s home stadium. Which goes against convention except in Italy.
“Now they have the good fortune to be playing the Cup final at home, something which happens nowhere else in the world.
“I don’t know any other cup competitions where one team plays the final at home. It would be different if we were playing in Naples, Florence or Bologna.”

If this is indeed Jose Mourinho’s last season in the Serie, he is going out in a different way than he did at Chelsea. All guns blazing.
