Except it is unclear in the article it appeared whether this was part of an interview given by Arshavin to People.co.uk. Only clue is the cryptic “but speaking after that dressing down …….. ” There is no description of the circumstances. Ben Duffy who wrote the article did not say they met up at the Dorchester over organic prune juice spiked with vodka. There are no details.
The article also does not provide any link to a secondary source, like Kommersant or Izvestia. Or even internet chatter. It is devoid of any sort of attribution.
Even the Spanish media which would have been all over this at the whiff are strangely quiet. Angel Di Maria’s reported transfer to Real is the top story. Surely, Arshavin would merit a bigger splash than that.
Look, this is People.co.uk where the top story is Denise Welch and her secret sex sessions. Now, I’m glad Denise is getting some on the side but top of the line credible journalism, this is not. So don’t hold your breath.
