The investigation into the French sex scandal has uncovered so much damaging evidence that it has been put off till after the World Cup.
The implications are too serious for a national side with three of their stars the target of the investigations.
Zahia Dehar, the Algerian born call girl has been talking. Much of it centers around Franck Ribery:
“I came on an aeroplane with one of my friends who I suppose [Ribery] had asked regarding my services. He had booked a room in a luxury hotel. We had sexual relations and he paid me… I was a nice birthday present, wouldn’t you say?” she said.
The problem for Ribery is that she was underage at that time. Knowledge that the French midfielder denies. However the investigation centers around who paid for her flight to Munich as the ticket would contain her date of birth. If Ribery was responsible and still went ahead, then he is in violation of a law that considers underage sex a felony. If applied to its strictest extent, it would mean Ribery faces three years in jail.
