In the 63 minute Fabio Coentrao sends in a cross and CR7 engineers a blatant “Hand of God” look alike. The Real Madrid striker’s ruse earned him a yellow card and plenty of sheepish looks.

The match was dogged by the familiar sight of CR7 doing too much, trying to take on everybody, and generally trying to smash the goal down. Some good approach work by Nani on the right and a very accomplished Coentrao down the left was undone by poor finishing. Carlos Quieroz also had injury concerns with Tiago Mendes to undergo an MRI to determine the extent of his knee injury.
