Video: Inter squeak past Chievo, 4-3

Check out Diego Milito’s beautifully chipped shot over Paul Sorrentino for Inter’s third goal. The Argentinian striker is clearly having the season of his life. What a huge pick up he is turning out to be for Mourinho. 21 goals in the Serie.
A bizarre set of own goals by both teams neutralized each other at the start. Thaigo Motta deflecting Michele Marcolini’s free kick to give Chievo the lead. At the other end, Samuel Eto’o’s fiercely struck cross hits Andrea Mantovani’s hip and deflects past Sorrentino. Inter goes ahead with Esteban Cambiasso and adds Diego Milito’s goal to end the first half comfortably ahead, 3-1. On resumption Balotelli outruns the Chievo defense and Sorrentino and lifts the ball into an empty net.
But Cheivo through another deflection by Pablo Granoche and then an interception by Sergio Pellissier make things very interesting at the San Siro. A nervy crowd gets quiet all of a sudden with the news that Francesco Totti has scored to take the lead against Cagliari. But Inter sees the remaining minutes through without further damage.
Inter face Siena and Roma take on Chievo as the race for the Scudetto goes to the last day. In Calcio, goal differential is not a factor and Roma enjoys a head to head advantage. Inter need to win at Siena as a draw will not be enough if Roma wins. Both teams would be even on points and the head to head rule would give the Giallorossi the title.
