A striker whose best contribution seems to be making Wayne Rooney more productive. England’s most talented midfielder/ winger who is in all likelihood leaving Stamford Bridge, and an injured midfielder whose match fitness status is the subject of intense scrutiny will most likely named to Capello’s 23.
Also running high in predictions is the inclusion of Adam Johnson, City’s highly rated right wing back. If he is included then that could spell the end of Shaun Wright Phillips’s chances.
So look for Emile Heskey, Joe Cole, Gareth Barry, and Adam Johnson to be included.
As for the left back, Capello must be hoping that Ashley Cole is not injured because Leighton Baines as understudy has been quite disastrous.
So which seven will be left out. Michael Dawson, Matthew Upson, Tom Huddlestone, Scott Parker, Shaun Wright Phillips, Darren Bent, and Stephen Warnock.
