According to the Castrol Index, England are preening favourites to win Group C but the USA has a healthy 26.6% chance of doing so as well. They are more likely to get the second spot with over 40%.
Overall, their chances of going through to the group of 16 stand at over 70%. Good numbers if you happen to be a statistical junkie. But what matters is that match on that day.
