Video: Robben hurts himself

Robben cuts in and pulls up for an instant before attempting an awkward looking back heel after which he can be seen clutching the back of his left leg. He must have strained his hamstring before the impact of that pass turned it into a small tear.
He may not be needed in the group stages at all. The Netherlands depth on attack should be enough to see them progress top of the group (Group E: Netherlands, Cameroon, Denmark, and Japan). Which could mean he might see action on June 29th in the round of sixteen giving him about 3 weeks to recover.
Robben himself says he is ready to do what it takes to get back to the pitch.
“After the injury I went to the locker room for a first diagnosis which was very difficult. But it was clear that it wasn’t good because I had a lot of pain. If I just let it heal than I’m back on the field in four to six weeks, but we don’t have so much time. (Long-time physio) Dick van Toorn is going to help me. Tomorrow morning I’ll meet him and we’re going to work incredibly hard. I’m going to fight till I drop.”
