Matias Suarez rules out winter move to Arsenal

Looks like the 23 year old Argentinian striker/ winger has committed himself to remaining at Anderlecht to help them win the Jupiter League. He has been strongly linked with Arsenal with Wenger tracking him for months since the Europa Cup began. Suarez has scored 14 goals for the Belgian first division side.
“I want to help the club achieve their goals this season. Things have been going pretty well, and we can achieve some great things. I don’t want to let the club down now. If I leave Anderlecht, it won’t be during the winter break.”
Meanwhile, Sky Sports is linking us to Eric Abidal, Barca’s left back who will be out of contract by the end of this season. Arsenal of course have a crisis of sorts with their full backs out with injuries. Bakary Sagna along with Kieran Gibbs are expected back at the end of the month. Andre Dos Santos is said to follow a month later and there is no expected date of return for Carl Jenkinson.
This is a rumour that might have some legs because Francis Coquelin who was doing a yeoman’s job as makeshift left back fell to the injury blight and is out for the next two weeks. Abidal is approaching the end of his contract with Maxwell competing for his position, so he’s not exactly in a strong position to negotiate. Barca might fancy doing us a favour now that the Fabregas transfer has gone swimmingly well for them.
