Loew’s boys fly high

Joachim Loew’s young German side flew high whereas Portugal hit a new low. They produced the worst team performance of the World Cup so far and were a bit lucky to end up losing only 4- 0 at the end. Thomas Muller scored a hat trick. Cristiano Ronaldo was invisible for most of the game. Pepe got himself the first straight red card of the tournament for acting like a complete idiot. The Portuguese goalkeeper kept passing the ball to the German team. Nani collided with one of his own team mates while going for goal in the late into the second half. Ronaldo kicked the ball into the wall for 3 out of the four free kicks that he took. It was pretty painful to watch.

The way the Portuguese team played – they would have been beaten by any half-decent schoolboy team.
