Two goals from Van Persie .Utd beat Southampton 2 -1 and are now third in the standings but are still a far cry from breathing down the necks of City and Chelsea.Their defence is shambolic and they took three shots at goal to Southampton’s 15.
Fortune is favouring them but fortune is notoriously fickle.However with the Jan transfer window coming up maybe Van Gaal will pull something out of the hat to shore up the defence.
Then Man City and Chelsea will have to start looking back.
Till then it looks like it’s going to be a two horse race all the way to the finish.
