Messi got 41.33% of the vote and Cristiano Ronaldo got 27.76%, Neymar came a surprisingly distant third with 7.86% of the votes.
The Messi – Ronaldo dominance over this award has been quite unbelievable. It has been awarded to one or the other since 2008
Ronaldo in 2008, followed by Messi for the next four years, then Ronaldo again in 2013 and 2014

To win the Ballon D’Or 5 times is simply incredible.
