The CONCACAF Gold Cup quarter final between USA and El Salvador saw some nail biting action.
Jozy Altidore got bitten in the shoulder and it caused him to fall down.
El Salvador defender Henry Romero while marking him during a corner kick,took a nip at Jozy’s shoulder.There must have been some fast acting venom in the bite – because Jozy just collapsed.He recovered quickly and took retaliatory action causing Romero to then bite the dust.The ref’s timely arrival on the scene prevented any further escalation of hostilities and peace was restored.
USA won 2 – 0 eventually and will face Costa Rica in the semis.
