After 13 long years in Manchester United colours during which he played 559 games and scored 253 goals, Rooney has decided to move on.Move back rather.He has moved back to the club he joined when he was just 9 years old.
Everton,from whence he had departed in acrimonious circumstances in 2004,are glad to get their prodigal son back.
Age has slowed Rooney down a good bit of late but this move back to his beginnings will be a new lease of life for him.
The burden of expectation will be less.
The dim memories of childhood will resurface and give him added motivation.The speculations about that move to China have also been thankfully been put to rest.
