Arsenal allowed CSKA Moscow to score two goals to make the aggregate score 4 – 3. For a little while there Wenger staggered around with the weight of that old sinking feeling weighing him down yet again.But Welbeck saved the day one more time.
His 75th minute goal gave Wenger’s weary heart some rest and then Ramsey put it beyond all doubt by scoring another during injury time.
So for the first time in a long time Arsenal have made it to the semis of the Europe League and all is not yet lost.
Wenger lives to fight another day.
