Argentina kept the ball to themselves for most of the game but could not score a winner.
For poor old Messi it was case of don’t cry for me Argentina all over again.With the weight of a nation’s expectations on his shoulders he missed one penalty and two free kicks.If all those had gone in he would have been on even terms with Ronaldo.
But the Iceland defence was only breached once in the game.It’s not looking good for Argentina.They have to play Croatia and Nigeria
in their remaining group matches and that’s not going to be easy.
