EA Sports had predicted that France would win the World Cup way back and it surely looks like they are going to get it right.
Croatia produced an extra ordinary team effort to beat England but it required coming back from a goal down and playing their hearts and souls out to win.
It was a superhuman effort and it would surely have left them mentally and physically drained.

To produce another effort like that will take some doing.
France on the other hand got past the much fancied Belgium without as much trouble as anticipated.

France have raised their game as the tournament progressed and have become better and better.
They are taking on the smallest nation ever to enter a World Cup final.
With just 4.2 million people Croatia is the smallest country to reach the final since Uruguay in 1950.
Uruguay took on the mighty Brazil that year – and they won.
So maybe that’s the kind of history that’s going to repeat itself this time.
Russia 2018 has been a world cup of surprises – and so maybe,just maybe,it has one last surprise in store for us.
