Chelsea needed penalties to beat Spurs to enter the League Cup final.Spurs without Harry Kane and Son Heung Min were pretty much outclassed by Chelsea and so the 2 -2 scoreline at the end of the game was thanks to some resolute defending on the part of Spurs and some wayward shooting on the part of Chelsea.
They then proceeded to win the penalty shootout much to the relief of Maurizio Sarri
