What transpired was the unexpected opposite.United,after pulling off Mission Impossible in Istanbul Paris did not run out of steam,but out of luck instead.
De Gea made an uncharacteristic error and United hit the woodwork twice.
Arsenal played better than usual,rode their luck,and won 2-0 ,thus dislodging United from that hard won 4th position – which Mourinho,incidentally,had called Mission Impossible.
The plot is thickening and the teams jostling for that fourth position are standing on each others toes.
