Real Madrid’s brief revival under Zidane fizzled out with a 2-1 defeat to Valencia which now leaves them in third place with 57 points, 13 behind La Liga leaders Barcelona.
And so while Real Madrid’s game was a humdrum affair devoid of any real brilliance or sizzle,La Liga leaders pulled of an extremely incredible and brilliant dying second comeback draw in their last game against Villareal.They started the game by going 2 – 0 up and then amazingly found themselves 4 – 2 down by the time the second half was coming to an end.However Messi came off the bench and made it 4-3 in the 90th minute ( with a free kick) and Suarez made it 4-4 with what was maybe the last good kick in injury time.
Talk about an 8 goal thriller.Not for the faint hearted.
