When the Champions League season 2018-19 kicked off, Ajax were already written off. They were not expected to emerge from their group at all.

And yet here they are.
Beyond all hopes and expectations Ajax have boldly gone where no Ajax has gone before and have gone even further by beating Tottenham 1- 0 in the first leg of the semi final.
Will they breach the final frontier ? That remains to be seen,but the semi final frontier is half breached already.
