Uruguay played better than Peru but just could not scored.The one goal that Suarez did score was deemed offside by VAR.And so the game went to penalties and Suarez ended up as the villain of the story again.He did not bite anyone but instead ended up being the only player to miss his penalty kick.He’s not getting much sympathy from Liverpool supporters- who have not forgiven him for things he did in the past.Neymar on the other hand tried to cheer him up.
He was a disconsolate figure at the end of the game.The Peruvian team on the other hand are delighted to be through to the semis where they will face Chile one of these days.
