Both Barcelona and Real Madrid go into Wednesday’s Clasico even stevens on points.
They are joint leaders in the LaLiga- locked at 35 points each with Barcelona ahead on a goal difference made up of two goals.
Both teams picked up just a point each over their weekend games.
Some late heroics from Benzema ensured that Real Madrid drew 1-1 against Valencia.

And a late blunder by Barcelona goalie Marc-André ter Stegen allowed Alexander Isak to grab an equalizer for Real Sociedad.

Hence we now have set up for us the kind of El Clasico that hasn’t happened since 2009/10.
That was the last time Barcelona and Real Madrid were on the same amount of points going into a Clasico.
That year Pep Guardiola’s Blaugrana beat Manuel Pellegrini’s Los Blancos thanks to goals from Lionel Messi and Pedro.
This time around – it’s anybody’s guess.
