So far…
August was really bad.They got beat by Spurs and Chelsea in preseason friendlies and went on to lose their first two games of the new season against Brentford and Chelsea by two goals each time.Then they got hammered 5-0 by Man City.The only good news in August was a 6-0 win over West Brom in the League Cup.
The bad news was that they were at the bottom of the EPL table and it was their worst start in 67 years.
Come September and there’s been an uptick in their fortunes.
Three wins on the trot have got Arteta’s back off the wall. Next up is the derby game against Spurs in about 12 hours from now which may well decide Arteta’s future at the club.
