The Official Countdown clock was unveiled one year ago on the 21st of November 2021

The current countdown status can be viewed here..
But all is not well.
A report on the countdown to Qatar 2022 in the Guardian tells us..
“At the time of writing, Fifa has sold 800,000 match tickets to fans. This, from a capacity of 3.1m seats, is just over a quarter of the total. In Russia four years ago, 2.5m tickets were sold to fans from a capacity of slightly more than 3m. There is some way to go if organisers hope to match, or even get close to, that total”
Apart from the unsold tickets another big problem is the fearsome expense of travelling and accomodation in Qatar during that time.
A return ticket during in October from Riyadh to Doha is upwards of 2500 sar ($670 USD).The further you are the more expensive it will be.
Someone has got to pay for all that air conditioning huh .
